I've been on so many birth controls and I've had problems with all of them, but I've had the least so far on Loeestrin. I have not missed on day of the pill, same time everyday, but I've been spotting, and some of my cycles last up to 2 wks.
I just want to know other people's personal experience with Loestin.

FYI, I've been, in this order, on Ortho Tricyclin, the Depo shot, Nuva Ring, Ortho Evra, Ovcon, Mirena (an IUD) and now I'm on Loestrin

Everyone has given me a problem from continueous spotting, very long periods, bad cramping (which I never get not even while on my period) and the Ortho Evra even gave me chest pains.

i feel like i have tried every bcp in the book! same problems... bled out for about 3 weeks on the Fe... about 2 on the regular...

foe me, the loestrin and loestrin FE also caused bad acne. i have been on tri-nessa for about 2 months [continuous dose] and so far, so good. acne has cleared up as well!!! OH! and my insurance covers it as well! [only $10 copay instead of the usual $40]

* LOL* i will update ya in 6 months though, seeings how I am usually good for the 1st 4 or 5 months of being on a new pill. then it hits the fan!

I take Loestrin Fe. It was prescribed to me not specifically for pregnancy prevention, but to regulate my cycle. It's done a wonderful job so far. I have extremely light periods that only last for 2-3 days, and I never spot. But, it's always a late cycle that concerns me. When I'm on the week off iron tabs, my period doesn't start until like the 4th one / day. It's my first time on birth control though, so I'm not whether that is normal.

YEAH I WAS USING LOESTRIN 24 AND I WAS BLEEDING ALMOST FOR A WHOLE MONTH ON AND OF. I NEVER REALLY KNEW WHEN IT WAS BREAK THROUGH BLEEDING OR MY PERIOD. ACTUALLY TO BE HONEST I WAS AFRAID TO KEEP TAKING IT. SOON I WILL BE STARTING ON A NEW PILL CALLED YAZ. HOPEFULLY THIS ONE WILL WORK BETTER. AND THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TAKING BIRTH CONTROL. IF YOU ARE BLEEDING TO MUCH, YOU SHOULD GO IN.

I used the depo shot, and it did me in! It was horrible. I experience hot flashes, night sweats, bloating, constipation, nausea, not able to sleep, and just did not feel like myself. Now, that I am off the shot, I have been having the worst cramps ever!! I would not recommend this shot.
