I taught my kids to to be honest and to help others in need. Because of what I taught them as they were growing many people take advantage of their good-hearts...They always try to help others and sometimes get ripped off by just trying to help..So..yes the honest people are the ones who get ripped off. Sometimes I wish they would have just said "No" when trying to help..But they have big hearts and know it was the right thing to do at the time..The people who have ripped them off will have their day someday....

Because they assume everyone else is honest, too. It's the sort of naivte dishonest folks count on. I'm a cynic; I don't trust anyone at first. Trust should be earned in any case.

People only treat you how you let them, so if you wanna get ripped off and hide behind 'being honest' then be my guest, but I think you should really be in the 'stupid' queue.

Because they make a mistake thinking that others are honest too. Nothing wrong with being honest and careful!

That's not true. I'm honest but I'm not naive. I know exactly just how dishonest others can be so I'm always on the ball.
