the 3rd term or element = 1140
that is from 20 choose 3
***********************************************
the FIRST Row in the Triangle is the 0th row (0 choose 0)
the FIRST element in a row is the 0th and not the 1st (X choose 0)

"The rows of Pascal's triangle (sequence A007318 in OEIS) are conventionally enumerated
starting with row n = 0 at the top (the 0th row)."

and same with the elements in each row, the first element is 0, not 1
************************************************
20Row3Element = 20C3 (20 choose 3) = 1140
(term and element are equal)

It's 20C2, which is

20*19/(1*2) = 190

I know you said just give an answer, not a formula, but I think you should try to learn something from Yahoo Answers, not just copy answers blindly.

PS OK I'm wrong. I gave you the 21st row, and first answerer is correct! That's 19*18/(1*2).
