a cv is full details about yourself, your education and work experience a resume is a like a cover letter of your cv an employer would only briefly look over a cv whe applying for a job so most people but a resume as the front page with what the employer really needs to know about you ie name, address, contact number, relevent employment history, qualifications and why you want the job. so basically a resume is a one page summery of a c.v .

I think they are the same however the word ( C.V ) is a British English while (résumé) is an American English which used in USA ,Canada , Australia and in New Zealand's.

Within Europe and Australia the term resume and CV are interchangeable although CV is more often used.

In the USA resume is the normal term. A CV is used by academics, medics and scientists. It includes published items and more career based statistics. It usually has more pages.
