You need to wash your brand new towels first before using it. If you'll also use it right away those fluffs will stick on you.

I find new towels need a few washes to make them capable of drying you! Wash as normal but don't use softener and do tiumble dry them. Don't forget to remove the fluff from the dryer!

Give them a good wash, and dry outside on the line if possible. NOT a boil wash though, that isn't necessary, and might make your towels all crunchy. But it's important that you don't use fabric conditioner when you wash towels - it adds to the fluffiness, and it adds a coating to the fibres that makes the towels feel all soft and lovely, but removes the absorbency.

I recommend that you put the towels through the drier fluff air dryer cycle first, then put them through just dry air cycle. Be sure to change the lint catcher more times than usual in order for the excess fluff to stick to lint catcher. Then wash and dry as usual. Good Luck!

Wash them on a 40 degree wash, then put them through a tumble dryer,as this will help to remove excess fluff.

Wash them then put them through the drier. Of course you probably did this considering you do not know who has handled your towels before you got them. It could have been someone that works in a sweat shop uses a community bath room and has no way to wash there hands.

You are meant to wash new towels first before you use them, this elimintates the fluff problem and makes them more absorbant!

Not sure what you paid, but give this cleaning cloth a try. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers that don't leave lint. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
...I encourage you to try it out.
