I am considering going to the Club Hotel Riu Jalisco in Nuevo Vallarta in Mexico. I have read mixed reviews and still can't decide. I am going with my partner (no children) we are ages 38 (ish). We don't do clubbing so nightlife isn't that important, beach is important, love to sunbathe! I'm thinking of going middle of April. We have been to Mexico before but to Cancun, loved it, but would like to try a different resort. If anyone could help me decide I would be really grateful (or any suggestions for different locations).

I HAVE BEEN TO HOTEL RIU ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO AND IT WAS OK IT WAS ONLY A BIT FULL BUT OTHER THAN THAT ITS VERY NICE I JUST GOT BACK LAST WEEK FROM VALLARTA WE STAYED AT THE VELAS VALARTA HOTEL AND IT WAS OK ALSO MY FAMILY OF 4 CHILDREN ME AND MY WIFE WE ALL FIT WELL IN A ONE BEDROOM SUITE . WE HAVE ALSO STAYED AT THE BARCELO LA JOLLA DE MISMALOYA (WWW.BARCELO.COM) IN VALLARTA AND I ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH BETTER THAN ANY HOTEL ITS VERYCALM AND AWAY FROM THE CITY I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND ITS ALL INCLUSIVE ALSO . I HAVE BEEN TO CANCUN AND TO PLAYA DEL CARMEN AND ITS OK DOWNTHERE ALSO . HOTEL RIU IS ABIT BIG AND THE ROOMS DONT FACE THE OCEAN AND AT THE JOLLA OF MISMALOYA EVERY ROOM HAS AN OCEAN VIEW THE ONLY DOWNSIDE OF THE JOLLA IS THAT THE BEACH IS A BIT SMALL BUT I WILL GUARANTEE YOU ENJOY ANY OF THESE HOTELS GOOD LUCK

Hello, I'm from Mexico and as they told you before I dont think Vallarta is right for you, because the beach is not the nicest one in Mexico. But I recommend Ixtapa.

If you don't like clubbing and noise, Nuevo Vallarta is not for you.
Playa del Carmen is more suited to your needs for a mexican holiday
