Start with lower heels and work your way up, try squarer shape toes first with a thicker heel. Your feet and legs will slowly adapt to the angle, also try innersoles also but most importantly a good pair of heels already with foam/gel will be better. These can be brought more cheaply at M&S, after a few weeks of waearing these, higher heels should feel more comfortable. Dont chop and change between flats and heels or it will become hard to wear heels again.

If you wear high heels all the time, you will get pain in the ball of your feet and you need steroids injections to stop the pain. My advice is don't wear them all the time. Wear them only for 1-2 hours and the rest of the time wear low heels. Take care of your feet or you will regret if you hurt them causing irreparable damage. Even if you wear heels people will know you are short, so don't try to fool yourself.

Just persevere, you will learn eventually, it just takes practise. I use surgical tape (which is meant to be used stick on bandages) on my heels where shoes rub. It works very well. But if it's really bad use a plaster and put the tape over it. High heeled boots are easier to walk in than other high heels because they give you more ankle support. Also wear shoes with thicker heels, that will help.

Think all us women know the feeling of our (balls on our feet hurting) because of high heels. Party feet are good but if you have been on your feet for hrs they still going to start hurting at some point!!! the only solution is to get the soles of your shoes made thicker with a spongy bottom!!! just had my boots re soled and they are mush better with extra padding on the bottom!!!! good luck honey!!!

Its because the calf muscles are in an unnatural position in high heels. Practice makes perfect in this case. I'm 5ft nowt & I do wear heels sometimes but WHEN I WANT TO and NOT because I think i'm a short *** & want to be taller. Accept the way you are & wear what you want, when you want because you want to

Try different styles/brands, and find the right fit for your feet.
Going up a size from your regular shoes might help too.
Also, theres a newer line of heels that have cushioning inside.

I don't wear heels, bt you can get a product called Scholls Party Feet which are little gel filled pads that you put on the inside of your shoe, or at the sides of your feet. They give better support and stop the shoes rubbing in sore places. You can buy them in Boots or Superdrug.

Hi Pint-size >
I would not normally answer a female issue,
But. I am all the way to 5ft 6in tall, and just love to hear "I'll call you back shortly" Don't call me shortly, I reply !
I had a pair of "big shoes" now in the bin, And let's face it I have less distance to fall, I can get into the corners of the boat engine-room, and I don't bang my head on anything.
There are advantages.
One of my mates in 5ft 2in. He plays in the West End, earning a considerable sum for being a short character part.
So - stop troubling yourself with uncomfortable shoes, We don't all need to be tall!
All the best,
Bob.
