Because they are afraid of what they don't know. They are also taught that "it's wrong". But it's not wrong. Look at penguins for example. It has been discovered that penguins are known to partner up with the same sex. If it is "wrong",then how can you explain this? I have never found it wrong and enjoy the company of both sexes, myself.

Homophobia is a fear of one's own homosexuality. Homophobic people are so fearful that they are in denial, both about their own sexual feelings, and about the bible. The line from Leviticus you mention is often misrepresented, as you have done with it. The bible says no such thing, read all of Leviticus and see what it really says. What the homophobes says about the bible has nothing to do with God's love.
Ever notice that homophobes never quote Jesus?
Sexuality, in all its different flavours, is a wonderful gift from God. Christian churches have been performing gay marriages for over 15 centuries, with some short lived lapses into homophobia, like the lapse we are presently in.
"And this, too, shall pass."

It is NOT wrong, and God is too busy talking to Pat Robertson these days, he doesn't have time to worry about who's sleeping with whom.

We know that homosexuality is a sin against God.
What we don't like to admit is that we have all sinned against God...
Sure, gay people are "normal"....just like everyone else, they need to turn from their sin, and let God help them to get past it. It's as simple (or as complicated) as that......

Most people dont think that. Gays are just so intolerant and hateful towards non-gays that they just claim this to further their hate-filled agenda.
