No, and in fact, not usually. Many times, they may present the truths, but it's often half-truths that have been edited so as to bring out the desired effect from the viewer. Such as cutting bits out of a speech, not showing the face of the enemy, etc.

People are becoming more educated and more sophisticated now, so I think more and more are beginning to analyze the news.

But, a generation ago was a more trusting and simple time. So, older people (which I am not that young!) often take it as truth. As my mother use to say, ''But if it was not the truth, they wouldn't put it in the paper, or on TV''. She honestly believed that as she would not lie, so no one else would either.

NO. I heard a saying once that goes "Only believe half of what you see, and none of what you hear." I think that is pretty good advice especially when it comes to The Liberal news media. If I watch any news at all It is on Fox, and then I analyze what I see and hear before I make decisions about it's veracity.
Rene Descartes 17th century philosopher-"Je ponce, donc je suis". " I think, therefore I am." from the Latin "Cogito, ergo sum."

I noticed these days that media is using some kind of a technique that attracts people to listen to them or stay tune. But when you finally realized all their headlines were opposite to what the real news is.

Better to listen, watch, be observant, and analyze of course.

Bless yah!
