Step 1: a and b > 0
Step 2: a = b
Step 3: a2 = ab
Step 4: a2 - b2 = ab - b2
Step 5: (a + b)(a - b) = b(a - b)
Step 6: (a + b) = b
Step 7: b + b = b
Step 8: 2b = b
Step 9: 2 = 1

This proof looks mathematically sound however there is a major error in Step 6. As you can see both sides are divided by (a - b) however since a = b, a - b =0. Diving both sides by (a - b) is the same as dividing by 0 which equals infinity, that is why the proof does not work, but it is rather fun.

Two people make one couple.

I Hebrew numerology the Hebrew word for "man" is 18 and the Hebrew word for woman also adds up to 18. The word for life in Hebrew is 36. So as 18 + 18 = 36, man + woman = life.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck!!!

Let us assume that x=y
Therefore x-y=0
And 2x-2y=0
Thefere x-y=2x-2y

Another way of writing x-y is 1(x-y)
Another way of writing 2x-2y is 2(x-y)
Therefore 1(x-y)=2(x-y)
Now divide each side of the equation by (x-y)
Answer: 1=2

(Of course, this is really a trick because dividing by (x-y) is really dividing by zero, which is not possible in the world of mathematics)
