I suggest speaking to a trademark attorney to get started. Someone that specializes in trademark law is going to be your best bet in respect to all details you'll want to know.

That being said, there's nothing wrong with doing some research for yourself. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* The Handbook of Business Valuation and Intellectual Property Analysis by Robert F. Reilly, Robert Schweihs
* Valuing Intangible Assets by Robert F. Reilly

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Dido, register all your trademarks. Like it's already been recommended

1) License the trademarks so the licensees have to pay you a fee for using them.
2) Tout your trademarks as much as you can once registered and turn it into a brand.
3) Make more profit from branding it.
