My grandson was born June 13, 2006. My stepdaughter (19) has not had a period since he was born, has not been on any form of birth control and has admitted to having unprotected sex. Has taken three home tests she says (2 positive, 1 negative), one urine test administered by the doctor (negative) and one blood test (negative). Everyone who sees her asks if she's pregnant (gaining weight in stomach only). Says that she has not felt any movement but looks at least five months pregnant. We have tried to get her to see a doctor but she has been putting it off. Anyone else have similar circumstances?

After five months, even if the baby is fully nursed, there is a chance of mom getting pregnant. Three of our five children came while mom was nursing. I wish you well.

I had my son in July 06 and I`m due in July 07 as well....Now I`m married and was using protection but it didn`t work...After having a baby you are really really fertile..I would take her to the doctor one more time just to be absolutely sure and if she isn`t then I would urge her to get on some form a birth control....I wish her the best because I know how hard it`s going to be for me with a 1 year old and a newborn...It`s going to be even harder on her being only 19 and unmarried....Good luck..

Give her a break about the weight gain. A woman will always gain weight around her stomach after having children. If she had 2 positive pregnancy tests, she's pregnant.

a woman is extremely fertile the first months after giving birth. i got pregnant 8 months after my first son was born. i had a couple regular periods and then from april to july nothing. 6 neg. pregnancy tests later, i finally got a positive one the end of july. the only way to know for sure is to try to get an ultrasound.

If she had a test at the Dr. and a blood test as well then it doesn't sound like she is pregnant again. Maybe you can talk to her again and ask her to go to the Dr. just to make sure that everything is alright with her because your concerned about her stomach getting as big as it is. She may see that your not mad and just concerned about her health? Good luck to you.

If the urine test and blood test at the doctor were negative she probably isn't pregnant.
