So this is my first semester in gradschool, everything is new, i dont even know what im suppose to study on. There are no exams, but all projects and readings. On top of that, im 23, everyone is about 30 and in the prime of their careers, so talk about being intimidated. Now, i dont know if i like the professor, he acts like a ******** up there. He said it himself, he is not an ACADEMIC but a CONSULTANT. I dont know.... he just doesnt feel like a professor, more like a sales man. On my other class, the professor was great, so I thinking its probably not adjustment on my part. So im wondering if I should risk my GPA and suck it up.. or drop him and find another class. I cant believe the college hires professors that doesnt have real people skills... Brains are good, but you need to personality to deliver it... He is like a walking textbook to me.

If he really is as bad as you say try to drop the class but more than likely won't you have to take it again. I would try my hardest to pass the class to prove to yourself you can do it and no one is going to hold you back. I had a professor just like him it took me two trys to pass his class but i did it. I got the best of him and he didn't like it. That made my day.

If you are past your drop/add period you will have to suck it up. Otherwise ,get together with another student in the class and they might be able to give you support.Just because they are older doesn't mean a thing. I am 45 and going to school and have had to use younger students as a crutch so do not let the age factor get in the way.

in case you interior the time-physique for dropping without penalty or in case you do not choose this actual class, then you rather would evaluate it. even although, there are continually going to be human beings we don't love and we can't continually ward off them. think of of it this manner--that's an rather, very small element of your existence--some hours a week for sixteen weeks. faculties do not continually hire for his or her human beings skills. particularly oftentimes, they are employed for his or her credentials or different reasons. Many professors, enormously at grad college, are working experts, not professional instructors. there is an advantage to this considering you could learn from their genuine existence reviews. a similar applies on your 30-year-previous classmates, you could learn from the failings they have already achieved and errors they have made. they may be worth listening to and you'd be able to make a powerful touch which you could use later.
