it just sits on the top of the head with the peak to the side? It looks ridiculous?

When I was at school a few years ago, the 'in thing' was to bend the peak of the cap. I got slaughtered for wearing a cap with the peak flat. Now it's the other way around. Can't people make up their minds?!

I agree with you, on this one. I can clearly remember the caps had to have a bent peak too otherwise you would get picked on. Now it is otherway around. I guess times change.

Do baseball players wear a cap to keep thier heads warm? Do military members wear a cap to keep thier head protected?
These are cases wear the cap is used for identifying purposes.
The people whom you speak of apparently do not share your disdain. They feel that they must wear thier headgear in this manner to be identified by thier group of believers who feel the same fashion sense.

You are soooooo right. Those people do not understand how ridiculous they look. But this is why our world stays interesting. All those different ways of life, the variety of cultures, beliefs, opinions, etc. This is also manifested in the human rights and also means true democracy. So let´s talk about them, talk to them, laugh at them, laugh with them and accept that other people are different from yourself because YOU ARE someone SPECIAL as well!

It feels comfortable and somehow right.
I was doing it way before it was trendy. It just feels right. I've got about 30 caps, and worn out another 40 too.
Also it lets other's properly see your face, which is friendly and open - and you have option to put it to "normal" when you want. And the peak sits over your ear. Its just right i tells you. :p

its just a fashion statement. i wear caps that fully cover my head i mainly wear them when my hairs greasy lol. its hip to be hip. also why do guys wear there jeans under the bum cheeks and the crutch is down to the knees it makes you wanna yank them back up

It's a fashion accessory...they like the way it looks. Let em enjoy, as long as they're not asking you to wear one.
