There are three leading jobsites:
www.monster.co.uk
www.totaljobs.com
www.jobsite.co.uk
Posting a non-specialist job on these sites can be very effective, especially during peak recruitment periods.
It is important to note that for discipline-specific roles, there are speciality websites that can be more effective. e.g. www.cwjobs.co.uk for IT jobs. However it is best to use the big three before using other sites.
All major sites allow posting jobs by credit card, but if you plan to use them frequently, it is best to contact an Account Manager, with whom you can negotiate better rates.

The job centre is very good, but also try www.gumtree.com if you are in a major UK city.
