You will spin faster if you keep your arms and legs in as close as possible. A neat trick is to start spinning with your arms straight out. Then bring your arms in close to your body and you will speed up your spin!

I probably don't have to tell you this, but physics says if you are lighter, you can jump higher! ^_^

While jumping when you are in the air, lift your arms and legs a bit. In this way you can stay in the air for a bit longer. This is possible as you center of mass shifts upwards. Maybe it will help.

Conservation of angular momentum........it is the reason skaters pull their arms in when they jump....it makes them rotate faster.
