No, not necessarily. As a society, the French can be more introverted and voyeuristic than others. Just because they are not as quick to smile or partake in a personal conversation quickly does not make the French arrogant. In fact, one to one, French people can be quite engaging, if on a more reserved scale compared to their American counterparts.

Not at all. I found the people there to have good humour, good conversation and the ability to laugh at themselves. One of my good friends comes from France and she's one of the sweetest girls I've ever met. Perhaps you need some people skills. Maybe they responded to the vibes and body language you were giving off. you've probably gone there with your mind made up already.

The ones who live in Canada aren't, and neither are the ones in Louisiana.
I would imagine that people who live in large cities are colder than people who live in smaller centres---they're trying to protect their privacy.

Most of them are.Arrogant and a bit old-fashioned...Moreover,they refuse to speak english(even if they know the language-most of whom don't),so if someone's ever about to visit France they have to know the language...
