Have someone to lean on whenever you are depressed. I've seen the things that goes as...
''When your car is broken down in the middle of know where, think about the paraplegic who would love to have a walk like you.."

However, most can't feel that way, and it's too much to expect them to. Sometimes sadness is good. I just simply close my door so that I am alone with my thoughts and problems to work over.

I have come to learn that if I take the time to really look at my life, I can find so many things to be thankful for on a daily basis. My wife and I both suffer from chronic pain and other health issues so it can be very depressing at times. When I look at my family and the love we share for each other I realize that I am wealthier than many people out there and the depression will usually lift. Take a look around you and count your blessings. I think you will find that your life is pretty good and you have alot to feel good about.

You can't /overcome/ sadness. I'm presuming you have something to be sad about, and that kinda sad you just hafta live with. It'll fade. Time heals all wounds and all that happy crappy. You are pissing into the wind attempting to 'overcome' your melancholy. Of course, you could always take drugs like everybody else does. Me, I like the sauce, but most people seem to prefer prozac.

Overcoming stress and pressure can be put in check by reminding yourself silently, "Is this situation going to matter a year from now?" It puts the high-pressure situations in perspective a little.
Also, "Put your head down and do your work and the sh*t will flow around you" holds true everyday.
