Is posting a story in my blog is violation of copyright law?

I found a website which has my favorite story in it. I like to copy it to my blog but i worried that i violate the copyright law because i have a google ads there.

i do it all the time. just include the website and the story's author.

Yamster succintly stated that you must acknowledge other's work if you want to use it as an answer, by indicating the web source and the author

post the story but also include posting where you got the story and youll be good to go.
