formula for circumference is
c= 2 * pi * r
and diameter is twice of radius
then,
20=2* 3.14 * r
take 2 and 3.14 on other side of equation in denominator, now you have
r= 20/(2*3.14) mm
r=3.184 mm
d=6.369 mm
hope this solves your problem
namaste and happy new year

Circumference of a circle is: C=2(pi)r the position r is the radius the diameter d is continuously 2r accordingly C=(pi)d (did you recognize that pi is a continuing and has a fee of twenty-2/7?) the area enclosed by technique of a circle is: A=(pi)r^2 (r^2 is r(squared) or r situations r) element of a rectangle is A= length x width (at the same time as l=w, it truly is a sq.) element of a Triangle is A=a million/2 (base x correct) element of a parallelogram is A= base x correct With the above equations you've each thing you want to sparkling up for the only unknown in each and each difficulty. were you not taught that in school? in case you won't be able to do this, then you actual want some severe help.

pie is the circles best friend it is 3.14159 and on and on. Just use 3.14 for ease. now the circumference is found by multiplying pie by the diameter of any circle. this is all you need to remember. If you know that then you can work backwards by dividing the 20 by pie. Do you see that you have the awnser already, you just needed to back up to find it? And radius is exactly half of the diameter. Think of radius as the center of a wheel or ball.

Diameter = Circumference divided by pi (3.14)
Radius = Half of diameter
Your answers:
Diameter= 6.37mm (to two decimal places)
Radius= 3.18 (to two decimal places)

Circumference = pi*D
D = 6.366 mm
therefore r = D/2 = 3.183 mm

C = ¶d where ¶ = 3.14
Thus d = C / ¶ = 20 / ¶ = 20 / 3.14mm = 6.37mm
r = d / 2 = 6.37 / 2 = 3.18mm
Note that, as there are 3 significant figures in ¶, there should only be 3 sig figs in answer. ie answer should be rounded to 3 sig. figs.
Some answers may show d = 6.369426 etc and this is not correct procedure.

hey..
circumference; C=2 (pi) r
r is radius; pi is 3.14 or 22/7
here it is 20/ (3.14*2) = 3.18 mm
radius multiplied by 2 gives diameter
d=r*2 = 3.18*2 = 6.36 mm
hope datz ok..!

If you want the work:
C=2*pi*r
20mm=2*3.14*r
20/2/3.14=r
3.18mm=r
the diameter is twice the radius, or 2*3.18=6.36mm

Look at the answers to your other question in the Mathematics section.
Then you'll be able to answer this question, using the same method.
And you've posed a question in the Geography section, you can use the same method for too.
(I know, I answered it.)
