It works in my marriage. You shouldn't try to change him. being with someone just like you is booooring. As long as you have similar morals and long term plans in life go for it.

Well Burnadette, for me personally I could definitely cope as I don't fell emasculated by strong women. A lot would depend on the personality of the man you have chosen and the view he has of his own masculinity.
There have been and will continue to be men who have associations with stronger personalitied and dominant women. Sometimes these men seek out that type , either for protection or for the need to be dominated. Whether this is healthy or not I cannot say. But there may come a time when you will arrive at the feeling that there is no challenge in your relationship and wish you had found a more equaly stimulating intelligence and stronger character in your choice of partner

Why must the 'loud' one be considered the one better off ? I think society nowadays regard being loud as the norm and tick off quietness as something wrong with the person. I for one think that instead of being 'weaker', that person may notice the small details in life the more active one misses from his/her faced paced life.

My conclusion ? I believe that quiet/loud both has their advantages and it should be great that you guys should complement each other by being who you are.

I am not an anti-women person, but if women become the stronger partner then: Peace be on Earth, or should I say: Peace will be on Earth. Take your pick.

I strongly believe that most people look and find opposites of themselves. They find in thier mates what they are missing in thier own lives and although the confidedant personality may look at the other as a weakness the less confident one may look at the stronger one as agressiveness...the two of them fit togthether as a whole. I think it is unusual to find two simular personalities as mates as we dont usually look for ourselves in our mates. We may both enjoy the same things but have two diffenrent takes on it.

If you think you're going to change him, you will be disappointed. It is fairly normal for women to be the stronger partner. While its true that men are physically stronger, it is the women who end up dealing with the really rough stuff. Anyone who has been married will attest to this.

Ms B! I am glad that you think you are stronger than your bf. That has always been the way we guys want our women to think. You might have been "had"!

If he's going to be a weakling, then he deserves to be lead about by the horns.
