Pi is a special ratio of the number of times a diameter of a circle will go into the circumference and is use extensively in Mathematics and is equal to 22/7 or 3.142 to 3 decimal places. If you multiply the diameter by Pi this will give you the circumference. Therefore in your case 3.142 x 8 = 25.136 to 3 dec places. If you divide 22/7 out the decimal place goes on to infinity. 3 Decimal places is usually sufficient.

Diameter times Pi equals the circumference

Circumference = 8 x 3.142 cm

=24.8 cm to 1 decimal place

2pir is the formula you need. pi = 22/7 and r = length of the radius.

So, (2 x 22/7) x 4cm = 25.1429cm rounded up.

formula for circle circumference is

P = 2 * pi * (radius)

so 2*3.14*4
= 25.12 cm

the circumference is the diameter multipled by Pi (3.1416)

So C = 8 Pi = 25.133 cm

C=2pi times radius.
2 times 3.14 times 4= 25.12cm.
I think. Haven't done trigonometry since school...20 years ago.
Don't quote me on that answer.

C = ¶d where ¶ =3.14
C = 3.14 x 8 cm = 25.1cm
Should this not be a Maths. question rather than a Geography question!?
