The pro-Israeli folks like to assert that Israel is productive, technologically advanced, etc. If this is so, then why is it that we keep sending money to them, but they never send any money to us?

Yupchagee, what do you mean by ally? If you were to give me billions of dollars per year, I'd be your friend for life! And you'd never have to beg me to stop collapsing houses on top of children.

Israel is too busy building "illegal settlements "in the occupied territories. In fact they are spending three times more on construction , ie roads(on which only Jews are allowed to travel.) around and between settlements,,illegal housing etc etc and military infrastructure to protect the same and of course I forgot the Apartheid Wall , then they are in Israel proper and you Mr/Mrs everyday hard working American are paying for a very large chunk of that. Try 4 billion per a year. They cannot afford to refuse the money ,It is up to Americans to let your politicians know how you feel about that.

Israel is about the size of New Jersey.No matter how productive they are they could never amass the kind of wealth the U.S.A. does.They have been in a perpetual war with their neighbors who constantly attack them for nearly sixty years.
We send money to many other countries as well and not one sends us any.I think you are probably just bigoted towards Israel and that your real complaint is that Israel exists.

Israel lives in a very dangerous neighborhood. Their defense requirements are enormous. We need allies in that part of the world & Israel is the only 1 we can trust. The relationship benefits both countries.
