It depends on whether you think this is a military or political operation. The army successfully conquered Iraq in record time (was it a few weeks?) but the occupation is no longer a military issue, in my opinion. It's mostly political. You just can't beat someone into thinking you're their friend/liberator etc. Doesn't work, and the military knows that.

Great Britain used to "occupy" India (second largest nation!) with the presence of approximately 20000 soldiers. Ask them how they did it.

Actually? None. The "situations" in Iraq will never be under control by American troops.

We need troops from the other countries that are profitting from all this mess. Why should America send in any more? We are not the only other country on this globe? Where are all these other countries? They are making so much they could buy an Army? Go to Saudi, Kuwait, Jordan, all those so-called allies and ask them to help? Why not? If they are our allies why not?
Maybe because it is their brothers? Or do we take all the losses of our people and their lives are worth more to me than a bunch of terrorists. And if they don't want to help us than to hell with them all just nuke em all. Why should we help those money hungrey, insane fanatical selfish slugs that sit on top of those oil fields, that think they are too good to sacrifice the lives of their people. They don't even care about their people, they don't educate them or feed them so why not send them and perform their own ethnic cleansing instead of us spending the lives of our good soldiers.

even if millions of forces dispatched to Iraq, it is very difficult to win a war.history proved that what every strong may be the nation, it can not win a battle in a foreign land.the USSR, had to face defeat in Afghanistan, the us in Vietnam, Korea.a solution other than military is to be thought and it is better option to win the hearts of Iraqis rather than dispatching troops and killing Iraqis.
