hi every one I have PCOS and have been ttc for over a year with one m/c recently I have not been ovulating at all. The doctors say they can't do anything for another 8 months. My mum is sending me Wild Yam Cream she swears by it for regulating her period when she was going though menopause. Does any one have any experiencing with it helping them to conceive? or know of any ttc stories using Wild Yam cream whether or not it helped?

thanks =)

I am already on the PCOS diet. My doctor wont put me on meds until a year after my last m/c so thats August. I have ovulated on my own in the past and have fallen pregnant twice. So I think its best for now if I just use natural ways of ovulating on my own, I know I can do it I just need a little help. thanks for all the replies so far they have been helpful, and I love hearing the success stories. =)

yam cream is also a form of progesteron cram., by the way I have pcos and I am pregnant.It is more than using Yam cream its also changing your diet .You have insulin deficiency with PCOS so knowing what to eat actually hels it . I would suggest using both a diet and progesterone cream . I took chaste /Vitex vitamins too(found in local health store ) all together it really helped .For your body to get adjusted it can be anywhere from 6-10 months to see improvment so give it time .I will see if I can find the link for you for the pcos diet.By the way I had the same problem not ovulating at all after awhile , so I can understand how you feel .

I've read its got a natural progesterone in it as well. But I've never heard of anyone using it in TTC.
I also have PCOS....I just had a baby girl 2mths ago because right after I was diagnosed I was put on a low carb/sugar diet and had to take 1500mg of Metformin a day. That same month of starting the diet and meds I got pregnant after almost 3yrs of TTC. I ovulate on my own, its just the insuline factor that kept me from getting pregnant.
Do you have the insulin factor? Or the cysts that prevent you from ovulating?? You sound like your a candidate for the Clomid/Metformin combo...to get your insulin under control and to make you ovulate...talk to your dr about that and if he says no..then find a different dr that will help you.
