I think foundation is a any occation kind of make up. (liquid foundation is way better than powder foundation, because through out the day,the powder looks caked on,and it looks clumpy. the liquid foundation looks creamy, and more natural.)

You can just wear the foundation. It shouldn't make your face shine. Mabelline is a really good brand, it wouldn't make your face shine. There are heaps of other liquid and powered foundations which you can use. Just try out some of the foundations in the shops, and then you can choose which foundation suits you best.

You don't necessarily need powder on top of foundation, particularly if you use an oil-free, or matte finish type of foundation. Also, if you don't want to look like you're wearing too much make up, try a tinted moisturizer. Neutragena has an excellent one. Oil of Olay makes one that is reasonably priced. I have used one from Lancome for years that is very light and requires no powder on top of it. Good luck.

You can get different ones. There is a type where you can gta cream powder, which turns into a matt powder finish after you've applied it. I use a stright forward silky cream foundation base then with a big sponge apply liberally some powder, just to cover up thoise 'spots' and 'blemishes' a bit better and to get rid of shine! x

You don't need powder with foundation. You can wear either one, or both together. Powder on top of foundation makes it shine less. But with matte foundations, it's now pretty useless.

you can just wear it..you dont need additional powder. you can buy a matt finish foundation...or one with a slight sheen which will give you a slight shine...it depends what you like.

alternatively..you could just wear a light face powder which is much easier to apply...and looks a little more natural. hope this helps you!

actually i like wearing foundation without using powder after because every time i put powder on after, my face become so oily in another 2 or 3 hours and i hate covering up those oily parts..it's such a waste of time

you dont need to apply powder after, especially if its matte.
powder helps seal the makeup (foundation & blush).
maybelline is a good brand ; )
