First off not everybody likes John Cena. I certainly don't like his character, although I have met him in person and he is a likable enough guy. Typically younger wrestling fans like Cena because his character has been tailored for them, with first his rapper gimmick and then his superman push. Female fans like him for his looks. I don't know why older fans like him, but some do thats for sure, probably because the marketing power of the WWE is behind him. However go to a WWE show and you will see that a good portion of fans really don't like Cena and alot of the cheers he gets on RAW are what they call in show business "canned".
