PC all the way, when the new game console comes out, you may not be able to use all the games you bought, I saw this with one of my friends who recently bought a Xbox 360, he couldn't use alot of his Xbox games on this console... With PC's you can update them along the way, if you need a better graphic card for instance it will be alot cheaper than buying a whole new console and a whole bunch of new games to play on this console. Thats just my opinion I spend more time on my PC than my PS2...

No, because the game play on a PC is much different, i.e. mouse and keyboard. I find it hard to play FPS on an xbox 360 or ps2/3.
Also PC's have more power than the consoles as illustrated by the upcoming Crysis game..the consoles had to dumb down the resolution because it's so intensive.
I would go $600 for the PC, for about $1000 you can get a crazy supped up gaming PC rig, and you can use it for other stuff of course. If you got the money then get both, but I'm still true to my PC and my PSP.

Although consoles are mostly for pure gaming, the computer will always be the best gaming machine out there, unless your playing a fighting game.Company's that favor on-line games will always favor the computer . However you will have to spend a little more then $600 for a decent gaming machine unless you build one your self from the ground up in the long run a computer is always your best bet IMHO.

in my opinion, i haven't had the form of computer that would desire to handle the form of recreation performed on the console. besides to that, console gaming is the way it began. I have been given my Nintendo, then the super, then the sixty 4, and then the Xbox and Gamecube. there is a few thing cool relating to the custom of latest console wars, and a gadget that's designed enormously for video games. i like consoles.
