The answer is no-one. Israel has been manouvering behind the scenes and has greatly encouraged every escalation of the Iraq war from day one. They have gained an incredible amount, not just incredible wealth. Make no mistake, Israel plans to dominate the Middle East region, their problem is that they are outnumbered by Arabs. This war is just a small part of their attempt to control large chunks of land that are inhbited by Arabs. My advice is for Iran to watch out. The Zionists are coming.

Iran will be reaping the biggest benefit!
The Bush administration has put in place a Shiite government to replace the Baath Party of Saddam Hussein which was generally thought of as a Sunni govenment. It was only thought of as a Sunni Government because Saddam was a Sunni Muslim, the govenment was actually secular (meaning that religious affiliation was not an issue) The previous government actually had sunnis, shiits, christians, kurds, etc.

IRAN is an Islamic State - meaning that the Koran & Shiite doctrine are the law. Because the Shiites will rule Iraq that will in essence mean that Iran rules Iraq and all the Oil wealth of that country will be controlled by Iran. Watch and see!

India and China. The oil exploration and development contracts they signed with Saddam are still valid. When the new oil legislation is passed by the Iraqi government, China and India will have first dibs on finding the best oil. They will have 10 years to find, pump, and reap the benefits of Iraqi oil. After the initial 10, they will have the chance to extend their contracts for 20 more years on a 13% commission, paid to the Iraqi government.

As far as Bush's plan, it is being pushed by a combination of scholars, military leaders, politicians, think tanks, and oil companies.

Iran benefits the most.
George Bush's old clique who put this mess together and who continues to build a firewall against the intrusion of reality is the one determined to intensify the misery, death and destruction. Oh, if they had to do a tour there and be held accountable for the 100,000s of deaths.
It is pure George Orwell's double speak when we speak of forcing democracy upon a nation that we are assuredly destroying in the process.

I feel IRAN benefits immensely from the ouster-execution of its arch rival; it would give them greater impetus to spread their dreaded brand of retrogressive fundamentalism and influence in the region - that's why Iran must be stopped.

Pres Bush's further troop deploment in Iraq may be the answer to counter influence of Iran-Syria; who says its against the will of the majority?

That's an easy one. Halliburton's stock is up a few hundred %, Bechtel Corporation, Raytheon, Exxon-Mobil, Texaco, Cysco...ad infinitum!
