ok, some suggestions cause i was ginny pig for a counselor that i worked for. write down situations that one would seek counseling for. about 10 topics with a few symptoms of each one.
get your friends or family to participate.
sit one on one with them, have standard open ended questions for them. DONT ASK"HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL"
if it wasnt detrimental to there welfare they wouldnt be seeking
therapy. if and when you sit with client, be relaxed have eye contact and dont stare them down, meaning look down to your paper and take notes but also be attentive, like looking at a dog,
you stare a dog down, he gets defensive, you dont want that in a client, you want to be sure to get them safe easy environment.
i dont know of a program for this, but you could check with a professor and to see if there is classes that have this excercise,
cause the lady i volunteered for, did this for a class she was teaching, and it was very helpful.
