How can you tell someone is straight without asking them?

Some people fit the "stereotypical" gay image (butch girl, feminine acting man), however, that does not necessarily mean they are gay. Many gay people just blend in with mainstream society...largely because there is NOTHING different about us besides who we love.

Homophobia is often called the "last permissable prejudice," often because it is something that can't be seen, just by looking at a person, such as race. Gay jokes are commonly made in the presence of gay people because you can't know just by looking at them. It's best, in all situations, to keep all discriminatory comments and jokes to yourself, because you always run the risk of offending someone. Also, don't ever assume someone is or is not gay just by their mannerisms and actions. Most importantly, remember that the ONLY thing different about us is our love. Otherwise, we are teachers, police officers, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, students, lawyers, doctors, athlets, tax paying citizens...just like you are.

Being Gay is a lifestyle not just a sexual orientation. Men can act more feminine then others but are happy fathers with kids and hetro. Just because people act in a certain way does not make them gay.

I know men who are very manly and are gay, to me it is simple it is a lifestyle choice.

Easy way to find out is to ask them in a non confronting way.
