I have been in this new relationship for about 5 months now and i have gotten a promise ring from him and i am so infactuated with him and i really think he is my soulmate. Well, i recently started my new job and a guy that i dated when i was 15 and was acctually my first love, works there and i havent seen him for 6 years, now i have been working with him for a week, and my world as i know it has turned upside down again, what do i do. How do i make these feeling go away and move on? Am i have the cold feet syndrom or am i just doing the grass is green on the other side thing?? And one other thing, why now after 6 years of not seeing him and seeing him at work am i having all these feelings i cant even think anymore im so lost.

You have to put some distance between yourself and them or you'll never be able to put this into perspective, not with them so close with their man smells, and flirting, and innuendo's flying all over the place. You need space to think it through and decide what will meet your needs the best. Don't rush into anything, and these feelings for your ex are normal, especially when they are just thrust apon you without notice. It's enough to confuse anyone if there's hormones flying all around you screwing up your judgment.

Hey, slow down, get a grip here---5 months and a great big promise ring? What in the world is that? Pressure to stay with this guy?? give it back and take no jewelery---not at 5 months. Too much of a committment--and too much pressure on you---let's have sex--you promosed---that sound nice?? And a new job around an old flame??? Go to work and concentrate on the job--before you lose what you have,.....At your age I can say it GROW UP___GET A GRIP__YOU ARE NOT A BABY. Shocked??? well I said what needs to be said. Be nice, smile, cordial, he will not just go poof and disappear. God this sounds like junior high stuff---grow up.
