They have been led to believe that they will share in the plunder. They are really going to be angry when it becomes clear that they are on the economic hit list.

The minium wage goes up so does the cost of everything else. Let's take the farmer. He needs grain to feed his lifestock. He will have to pay a higher grain cost. He is not going to take a loss. Therefore he passes the cost to the supermarkets. Now the supermarkets have to pay a higher price for there stock plus there employees. The cost is reflected on the price your paying for your groceries.
Lets say the grocery store had 50 employees at 2 dollars and hour it's 100 per employee. They all work 40 hours a week. That's 4000 dollars more a week the grocery store has to pay out. That's not including the higher cost for the products they are purchasing. That's not including the higher unemployment tax that they are paying out. Just because you don't lay off or have any intention of laying off doesn't excuse the employer from the unemployment tax. That tax goes by a percentage of the employees pay. Grocery stores are not going to be able to swallow the loss. There for your going to pay much much more for your groceries.
That's just one area. All areas will be effected.
You don't have to be a billionaire to see that minium wage going up will have a negative effect on the economy.

Well given your ID and picture, I shouldn't hold you to knowing what facts are. We aren't in favor of lower wages, genius. We are in favor of a free market. Something young libbies like yourself have no concept of. In a free market, minimum wage laws are unnessicary. On top of that, Bush is expected to sign the increase so what are you whining about anyway?
I make a middle class income. I vote republican because that is my only prayer of keeping taxes lower. Democrats can and will raise them any possible chance they get, and exempt their constintuents(Read: Banshee Pelosi and Starkist), proving they love pork as much as any repub.
You clearly have only read one side of the minimum wage debate. Do yourself a favor and read the other side before you strut your stuff in Y/A. Typing in all caps as if it means something more. The hikes result in a hike in prices, a hike in taxes, which affect you and me. Not to mention it doesn't provide much of a disincentive in keeping wetbacks from sneaking into the US and stealing jobs now, does it?
Anyone who believes in taking care of themselves, and being free and independent is a conservative. The liberal is toiling to create a nanny state. Free of effort, and diversity of thought. You want that, go for it. Just gonna have to be over my dead body.

I think a lot of people vote Republican because they have seen so many smear campaigns against Democrats that they actually associate them with moral weakness. I think that's ridiculous, given most Democrats I know have far stronger ethics regarding the environment, helping those less fortunate, and so on, but the GOP has been very aggressive in making them look bad.

Also they stress their alleged religious devotion (again, ridiculous given they are greedy, war-mongering, vengeful, etc - all NOT characteristics associated with religious people) but a lot of people who follow religion blindly think this means they should vote Republican.

On a side note, your avatar is ridiculous, and an insult to the millions of people who suffered death at the hands of the Nazis. Bush is incompetent and quite hard-lined, but he is a far cry from rounding up millions of people in their homes and sending them off to concentration camps. You look facile and childish suggesting it.

It is the lesser of two evils, and the libs are more evil than repubs. Libs support abortion they actually salivate at the thought of murdering a poor innocent baby. That is why I would never ever vote for a lib. I would however do the lib a favor and put a bullet in it's brain though.

Republicans have created wedge issue that trick the ignorant, superstitous, and terrified into voting for them.

Republicans always need an enemy, and since the 1920's have pointed to various groups as the cause of all our problems.

It gets people to vote against their own best interests.

BTW - Not all billionaires vote Republican. Tons of insanely rich Democrats.

Republicans have a core of beliefs that range far beyond your stupid statement. I am not a billionaire by any means but I hold their tenets true to my beliefs.
