It all really depends on you and how curious you are.
I found out with both my girls. My first one I let my Mum come to the ultrasound and when the lady asked if I wanted to know the sex, my Mum jumps up with a great big "YES", while I said No. The lady looked at me and i looked at my Mum and the excitement on her face and I caved in and found out. The joy on her face was awesome. And it helped with buying all the clothes etc ( I had a lot of boys clothes, so I now knew to go get girls clothes)
So with my second I found out so I was able to prepare.
But I would've liked to have kept it a surprise. I think that would be nice. Some people I know have'nt found out till the birth and that was great.
So if you really cant wait or want to be prepared with the right stuff find out. But if you want surprise then dont.

I have to say better, that way you can begin to buy baby things before delivery. This helps me b/c I can't save up a ton of money so if a buy a little at a time I have everything the baby needs. My first was a girl, and it was so exciting to me to start buying pink and purple clothes and accesories even when I was still pregnant. I find out on the 31st what I'm carrying now, and plan to buy an outfit right after I find out!

I personally think it is better because you have time to prepare and buy all the things you need for either a boy or a girl. I just had to know every time with mine because i had no brothers so i wanted a little boy and i ended up having 3 girls before i had a boy. I also have 3 sisters. It really depends on what you want.

It's good to know the sex of the baby before hand that way you know what types of clothes to buy. That way you don't have to buy all unisex clothes.
If you know it's a little girl, then you can buy her cute little dresses and shoes and stuff like that!
I think it's important to know. Unless you just want it to be a surprise!
I never got to know what my baby's sex was until birth because my doctor's ultrasound machine was so old and crappy, and it made me sad not to know.

I had to have an amniocentesis when I was 20 weeks to test any genetic probs and it can tell also detemine the sex 99% accurately.
When the doctor called me to tell me the test results he asked me if I want to know the sex. I couldn't resist and when he told me i was having a girl I cried on the phone. It was so wonderful finding out because it made the baby seem more real to me and it gave it a personality.
It made it much easier to buy clothes for, and family and friend knew the sex too so we got given Lot's of pretty girl clothes and toys.
It also made it much, much easier to choose a name for our baby as well, as it cuts out half your options when you know!
I'm happy I decided to find out before she was born, but it is up to personal preference.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and with whatever decision you make :)

Personally I needed to find out the sex of my baby. However, my girlfriend who just delivered twins was told she was having a boy and girl, surprise! 2 boys! Just be careful, I would hate to have my hopes crushed if i only had one name picked out and the room decorated etc.

I think it depends on the person. I myself want to know the sex of the child so I know what to buy in advance and what to have them get at the shower. I think it is just opinion. Some people like to guess. I like to know :). My hubby doesn't so I am getting the ultrasound and buying unisex baby clothes until then.
