I remember the first night we had Fox News on the cable. My housemate came down and declared it to be 'evil.' I thought he was exaggerating. Then I watched it.
My father used to be a true believer. Somewhere along the way he realised that the 'American people are being lied to' and can get up a good head of steam on the subject. He's very intelligent, it's just that his sources of information were so circular and self-referential that the conclusions he drew from them couldn't deviate from the Fox News script.
The broader your sources of information, the more obvious Fox News' bias and MO is.
Some days I wonder if they don't WANT global warming to occur. It would increase our dependency on GM seeds, pharmaceuticals, air conditioning and other technological wonders. The catastrophies inherent in global warming will create worldwide emergency situations. Governments will be forced to quickly adopt technological solutions to reduce the death and damage.
Halliburton has made several fortunes off of the Iraq crisis. Do you doubt that they would love to profit from something on a larger scale?

Of course there is bias. The leftist media loves to scare us into thinking we are all doomed in order to promote their socialist agenda.
But the real bias is not in the media. It's with the scientists. Just 10-15 years ago they were predicting a coming Ice Age- that's right-- global cooling! Maybe you're too young to remember that crap.
Sure, the Earth is a little warmer right now than it has been in the recent past. Well.....so is Mars. The real debate is what is causing this warming trend. Are we causing global warming on Mars too?

thing the news is trying to tell it like, but glamming it up and giving it all doom and gloom. it is but don't think people belive what they say, but since i have meet my husband i know that there is a problem ( he is a reseacher ) and yes the natural gasees will end and yes the sea level will go up, but he goes mad when he watches the news at the way they put things over. i know do my bit, with lights, recylcling, walking when i can, will not make much impac but least i'm trying. think the news should keep it plain and simple and people may take more notice. not sure if this answer will help but i've tried my best

the position to commence? in the start, I truly have not all started to right here them say a 'liberal element', I truly have heard them calling those textbooks out. yet one, it is going to global 'warming' to global 'climate replace'. besides, Al Gore claims that this is a man made project. THAT component has yet to be shown (climate replace does take position evidently). Secondly, both 'guy led to' global warming and evolution are theories. truly with evolution, it isn't difficulty-free next to no longer achieveable to validate it! same with faith. notwithstanding, 'scientists' trust that because they have were given a doctorate they recognize each thing compared to a doctorate in theology. Textbooks that run a theory favor to point that that's so, and factor out different theories to boot. faith and technological understanding do no longer ought to conflict, people only make it that way. Thirdly, gravity is a everyday theory it truly is truly established. Drop a e book voila! notwithstanding, evolution won't be able to be definatively shown. And fourthly, the finished criticism remark? seem of the equity Doctrine, and tell me about your righteous indignation in route of Pelosi.
