To make it very clear, Old Rose told the story about her younger self with Jack and all of that. Once she is done telling her story, everyone goes to bed for the night. Rose tosses the expensive necklace her fiance(not Jack) gave her, and goes to sleep. It then shows a scene where Rose is young again, in the Titanic in all it's glory, surrounded by everyone else who died the night it sank. She goes over to Jack. The end. One can only assume she passed away in her sleep, and the whole reunited with Jack scene was her in heaven.

Edit:To the person who said Rose went on to get married and whatnot, she did. She also had at least one child if I recall correctly, and it was her granddaughter who helped the people find Rose and get her story.

Yes, Rose died on the exploration boat, after she told her story and threw the necklace into the sea. By doing that, she had made peace with herself and could die peacefully and join the man she loved.

Jack dies while holding onto the raft that Rose is on. Rose lives on to tell her story but after finishing it, she goes outside, drops the necklace into the water, then goes back to die in her sleep. (As far as I can remember.) Hope that helps!

Yes, as the old rose, on the exploration boat, after she tossed the blue diamond overboard. In the end, when they show her meeting jack on the stairs, you see everyone else who died when the titanic sunk....

She did if you remember she goes back to her bed after throwing the necklace in the ocean. Then it shows her back on the ship as a young Rose with Jack at the top of the stairs along with everyone else that died waiting for her to rejoin them in the afterlife!!

I think what was so great was that James Cameron left it to the viewer to decide whether Rose died or not. I think she did, but others could just think she's having a regular dream sequence.

She found out after arriving in New York that Jack had given her herpes, gonorrhea, and syphillis. She became very ill from the STD's and developed a high fever. During this fever, she had a dream. The events after the sinking never really happened and were only in her dream world. In reality, she pawned the necklace and became a heroin addict.

i think she did because i noticed that on the ship at the end, all the people who are there clapping all died on the titanic(e.g mr murdoch, the captain, mr andrews, The band, Fabrizio etc) but all the people who didn't die on the titanic weren't there! (e.g. her mom, molly brown, mr ismay etc). so i think her spirit joined Jack and all the others who didnt make it.
