if you are using Wi-Fi in close proximity to a cordless phone or base station that operates at 2.4GHz it will drop the call. you will need to upgrade to a 5.8GHz cordless phone.

What ISP are you connected through? Are you using DSL as your internet connection? If so, check and make sure all your phones are running through a filter and are connected into the phone port. Then, connect your modem to the DSL port and try that. Also, make sure that you have a filter on every telephone jack in your house. If not, this could be causing your problem. Please contact me if you still need more help. Sorry for all the trouble and hope it all clears up! :-)

Who ever told you that you have broadband needs their head testing for broadband is a separate cable which does not need a phone line and is always connected and has nothing to do with dialling out or people telephoning you.
what you have from what you are saying is a dial up connection which is very old and slow. if I were you I would first contact your phone company to sort out your current problem, then I would think about changing over to Broadband 2mb this option will speed up everything on your computer, faster downloads, faster connections, game playing will be more fun. so think about the change it's not that expensive

Almost certainly a faulty filter. Make sure all phone cable connections have one as well.

either a faulty filter or you have a pone connected to the line without a filter.
The filter splits th phone signal in to the phone signal and an adsl signal if this isn't working then it can cause this problem

More than likely a faulty (or missing) filter.
Hope that helps
