It's supposed to be an alternative to tampons and pads.

In my opinion , it is better to just use a sanitary pad or a tampon. The hype of it was that you could wear it for 8 to 12 hours.. I used it for little under 4 hours and it leaked terribly. I do not recommend them but, I guess it depends on the activity you are doing and the amount of flow you experience since everyone is different. I wold think it could work on light days.. but unfortunately I don't really have those. Also, it is quite abit less sanitary ..it was disgusting to me considering the way you have to remove it and it spills...you know what I mean.

I tried it long ago, to avoid the tenderness that I sometimes get after using tampons for a prolonger period of time. It works just fine if you are able to insert it properly. But I did get to a point where I just found it annoying and a little irritating.
It was not as easy to use, so I switched back to tampons, only this time, I went to a much lighter absorbancy.

Using Instead really depends on how comfortable you are with your body. I used them but only when I knew I was going to be home to change them. They do tend to be messier then tampons or pads. They were OK to use. I stick with tampons now.

I tired like hell a few times but I could never get it in right. I ended up making a mess every time.

My sister swears by them though.
