i don't think that sounds like a good idea, the family would probably despise you, and if you have kids than that would be weird for them.

I think you know that this is not the real question… The question is will people accept it if I date my ex’s brother…?

First ask your self does the brother feel the same about you? If so will he stand up for you?

Second question is “is your ex over you” if yes then I don’t think there will be trouble… however if the answer is no then go back to the first question and if the answer is yes then date him

Absolutely not! even if you feel he could be the one (remember you thought your now x husband was the one) you need to get away from this family and focus on loving your self. evidently you have some issues going on here that need to be addressed, you cant let your feelings control your life and relationships, your living in a fantasy and need a dose of reality. Leave this family alone i'm sure you divorce was painful to some family members if not your x-husband so move on and get a life

Not a good idea as you will always see your ex at "family" events. Most men are too egotisical to handle the situation with any sort of grace and they feel their ex is still their property.

Even worse, you ex's brother dumps you, which only solidify's your ex's claim that he made the right decision to get rid of you (even if it is truly the other way around) and if you have kids, could use this to poison them against you.

Not a good idea. No relationship will work with this type of arrangement. They always create more problems within the family. It's time to move on. It's just not worth the problems it would cause.
