Seeing as some of those people are serving tme for rape, I dont see how they could think rape was an act of self defence. Raping others doesnt give you an excuse for anything, its purely a selfish and violating act. If you raped someone and tried to palm it off as self defence, chances are the victim and friends will turn on you.

what the? How could you get a ***** whilst being attacked? I would have thought the first reaction would to get away. If the rapist had the power to hold someone down they should have the power to get away. Rape is a disgusting act no matter which way you look at it.

well if your gonna rape, you gonna need power to take control. But as you say, if you need self defense against an aggresor then that person is assumed to have the power right. I don't understand how the person who is attacking you(who has the power) all of a sudden would give it up to you so you could violate them instead? I'm confused.

No it is not. There are other things that you can do to prevent harm happening to you while in the prison setting. Things such as getting a way to be put in segregation or isolation.

On the part of the victim or the rapist?
If you have a choice, it's never justified. If you have no choice (on the part of the victim) you got to do what you have to do to save your life.
