If so, how exactly are we doing this? If not, explain carefully why we are not.

Over-Population specialist Paul Ehrlich, Carl Sagan and most natural scientists have been predicting that for a long time. In 50 years, at our current rate of growth, we'll grow from 6.5 billion to 10 billion souls....totally unsustainable by the earth's natural resources.

There will be zero fossil fuels, zero coal and other basic resources. The few remaining natural resources (in particular water) will be fought over by the world's population. Only a cataclysmic event will bring population levels down to sustainable levels (wars, pestilence, or whatever). Can technology save the day, perhaps, but at our consuming rate, the train wreck is well known. Will we change our destructive habits? probably not, the chasm between the third world countries and the 'rich have's' will only get deeper.

Regarding the history of doomsday predictions, that's been going on since the days Nero was throwing Christians to the lions. Every turn of the century, turn of the millenia, solar eclipse, passing of halley's comet, Jim Jones and the crazy dude in Waco, all have predicted the end of the world. Even the 7th Day Adventists had their day in 1912 come and go.

We'll probably doom ourselves off from an accidental launch by Russian ICBMs, it almost happened in 1995...POST Cold War, but that can happen 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now...who knows?

Yes. We take more than we give back. We are depleting resources & polluting the environment. Everything we do affects the planet. Look at global warming. Energy consumption & pollution affect the climate. I'm in Canada. It's January & I've barely seen snow. That's not normal. Sure it's nice not to have to shovel snow, but what about the arctic? If the ice melts (which it is) then the water levels rise leading to floods & devestation to anyone living on the water. When we destroy nature she responds with natural disasters. If we destroy the world, it will destroy us...

No.

When it comes to the whole Earth heating up, I subscribe to the theory that we're simply in a long cycle where the Earth will periodically warm up.

Also, I'm very conservative and religious. I don't believe we have the power to destroy the Earth and subscribe to the Bible. Anything that happens is the will of God, not our doing.

But, in a round about way, you could look at it as being Man's fault in this. The Earth has a spirit and is fed up with not getting a day of rest. So all the earthquakes, crazy weather, etc, may be her saying, That's it, I'm taking my Sabbath.

Ha ha ha ha, well I know it is not Aliens? What else would it be?
Who else would it be? Of course we are destructive but if we would group together with a good thought we can do much more with the positive energy by promoting good and repair this world, for we can fix the problems if we put our minds to it. Mankind is capable beyond his beliefs. The problem with humans as you call it, is we don't believe we can do it. So we must believe we will do it and get started. Less talk and more doing is well worth the efforts for survival.

No! .... Simply because those are not humans in those human bodies who are trying to destroy the Planet. There are many different kinds of evolutionary entities/lifestreams using human bodies as a disguise to carry out their nefarious activities.

Yes I do. In the Bible, it even says that man will destroy itself. We are ignorant fools who think everything can be replenished. Not only that, but look at society. Completely different then it was 20 years ago when I was a kid (I'm 28)

We are changing the world. That is undeniable, both in our selective breeding of food species, and our production of greenhouse gasses, causing climate change.
Will this destroy the world? Probably not, depending upon how you define "destroy". However, it is causing undeniable change, and we may find some of the changes to be inhospitable to ourselves.
