I feel his films are brilliant and well written as opposed to the generic nonsense that Hollywood has been pumping out as of late. I'm not saying all present Hollywood films are bad, but many that are making millions are lacking in quality for example the Star Wars Prequels gentle George jammed down our throats.

Woody Allen fims don't make money because of a couple of reasons. For one many people no adays love their explosions with not too much plot. Two movies at times come do more to the family industry more than something for the adults. Also there is also the fact that some, not all, Woody Allen films are unconventional comedies. Last he only comes out with one movie per year, people don't recognize his name life Scorsese, they don't get as much publicity as big budget movies and the movies have small budgets.
There is nothing wrong wiht his movies and most people don't know about the fact that he married his ADOPTED daughter. Ok that is still off that he married some he raised for a few years but that's the same thing with Celine Dion's husband. He helped raise her somewhat and then later married her.

Because his films for the most part are boring and un interesting. to most people. I like good cinema, and I don't consider Woody Allen's cinema good. The Star War movies are incredibly childish and bad acted but the special effects are great, something that gets kids' attention, and teenagers and kids are the number one target audience for movies to make money. No kid will seat thru a Woody Allen movie, I can't, and I am 39 years old.

People for the most part are stupid. Movie goers for the most part are children. That is not likely to make a Woody Allen film a must see. His films are not stupid or childish enough for a big audience. They are like Shakespeare highly underappreciated.

People do not want to see movies made by a man who married his daughter. The genetic connection is not there, but he raised her up from a little girl. At what point did fatherly love turn into something sick?
