so i have an AMAZING voice and i would really like to become a singer how can i get info about how to get started so i need help i would really really apreciate it if someone would help me

so i see most of you have some great ideas i love you and some of my friends tell me to get an agent and stuff but if i want to get an agent how do i do that ?

What genre of music are hyou into? Be sure to stick to a particular genre first in order to master the techniques in the said genre. Listen to good materials. Then try to change some of the licks according to your taste in order to add your flavor into it.
Look for bands that plays your genre. Only through this that you can apply and enrich such skills. Be sure that you always remember that singing is not putting yourself into a pedestal or singing is about getting famous or rich. Music is all about the heart, your soul and emotions. Only through this you will become an effective musician.
Look for gigs that you can perform the songs that you like most.
And of course, sing anytime you have the chance.

To add on to a previous answer, I think American Idol would be a good outlet, but before you go out of town or whatever to an audition, you should develop something of a "style" or "sound" that is original. When you watch the American Idol auditions you see a lot of young singers that can definitely hit the notes and don't sing off-key or anything, but they sing just like Mariah Carey, or Christina Aguilera, or whoever, and they get turned down at the audition. So I would not sing exactly like your favorite artist, but develop your own style, then go to an Am. Idol audition.

If you want to bypass the American Idol idea, another way is it try and form a band, look for people who play instruments and try and make it out there.
You go look for talent agents, maybe do a demo of yourself singing a song and send it to these sort of people or people interested in the industry.
I'd suggest you have a bit on the look on the net but be careful of scams.

Record urself then take demos to ur favorite DJ's in town and get ur voice known locally, is all goes well then take demos to the big boys in New York, Nashville, or Detroit if u pass the local test.
