You can visit the historic sites in Manila like the Intramuros which is the Spanish walled city. There are Spanish churches and structures (Presidential Palace) including American built government buildings. Visit the Bay Walk along Roxas Boulevard and watch the famous Manila Bay sunset. Check out the National Museum located in the old Philippine Congress building. The Chinatown in Binondo is also an interesting place to visit.

On the other hand Makati if I am not mistaken is home to the Ayala Art Museum which features contemporary art in the Philippines.

since you are a photographer, we will talk not only in manila. Go to Tagaytay City, see the volcano lake and the volcano itself. Luneta Park in Manila where our National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal was executed by the Spanish Priest Government, you can see and have a picture on the 8th wonder of the world, the Banawe Rice Terraces caves in the Benguet Province and many others in Baguio City.

aside from the baywalk in roxas blvd. you can also go to fort santiago in intramuros (the walled city). if you have time to go out of town, try to visit vigan in ilocos sur. there's a cobbled street - crisologo st. - its a UNESCO site. You'll see the buildings built by the Spaniards centuries ago, it has been preserved. it's a good photo ops. a few hours also from manila, is laguna and batangas, there are some historical sites and nature tripping to do too. if you want to know more info on some places you can go to this website - http://www.wowphilippines.com.ph

Dude, get out of Makati. All there is there are poser bars and girlie bars! Go to Baywalk, or somewhere else in Manila (Malate). There are some really nice bars with live music and really good restaurants to go to at night.

Juri's is probably the best restaurant and has a nice cozy bar.
