I know I should be calling repair man, but wonder if anyone encountered such problem before and estimated cost of repair. thanks in advance.

I then did not turn any unit on, but after an hour or so, one unit turn itself on again, and cannot be turn off. The others cannot be ON. when i on/off with the remote, all units responded with the usu. beep, but they either remain on/off...

If the thermostat is satisfied the internal fan(evaporator) will continue to run unless there is some kind of energy saver setting and the outside part(condenser fan and compressor) will be off until the thermostat calls for the compressor and condenser fan to run. If the evaporator fan is the only thing running the thermostat may be set too low(warm setting) and should be turned up(colder setting). The thermostat could be defective or a number of things could be wrong with the external part(condenser unit) consisting of the compressor and condenser fan. The power supplied to each section could also be from different sources to cause a situation like that as well.

1.Check the plugs connection.
