You can get a CD lens cleaning kit for under $2 which comes with a special CD and liquid which you use to clean the lens with by playing it in your system.

There are some kind of CD lens cleaner it is some kind of cleaning liquid, it is very effective try it. I have that too.

If you are brave and don't mind voiding the warranty, you can open the top cover of the device and brush off the lens with a fine camel hair paintbrush.
