Cultural diversity in business organizations- a company that has people from all walks of life in terms of religious beliefs, race and ethnicity, gender, sexual preference, political beliefs,etc.

I live in Canada...we love to point out that we are built on a "multicultural model" as opposed to the USA's "melting pot" idea. The city I live in has had a wonderful festival for more than 20 years, called Folklorama, where dozens of pavilions are set up around the city celebrating the many different cultures that comprise our city. Our federal government even has an entire department devoted to "Multiculturalism" Having said that, I can tell you for certain, our everyday lives do NOT meet these expectations & ideals. Not just limited to myself personally, but many other groups experience prejudice & bigotry at its worst daily. We have also had different groups (mostly our Native population) direct their grievances directly to the United Nations as they found a lack resources or forums in Canada. I am proud of the progress we have made aspiring to our ideals, but let's face it, there is still a very long way to go.

Culture and Tradition is something that is carried forward by generations. Each country has its own culture and beliefs. Two countries may totally differ in their habits of food, language, way of dressing and so on.
