if bush goes into iran and syria no telling what will happen. i always have believed that when people talk about something long enough they are getting people ready for when it does happen. When rules start getting changed in the middle of the game because the team that is suppose to win starts losing it makes me wonder. Some say no some say yes to the draft. Once Bush woke these people up (aside from 9-11) and this has been a mess for some time no telling what will happen. I always wondered why didn't the military ask low level crooks were they interested in military duty to exsponge their records. Some people say that is wrong. I say better than asking young men to fight and they don't want to. When the rule changed that even single son family will be mixed into the fray the only son rule will not apply I fear that all the rules are being made now so that there will be no questions later. It's so ugly ugly ugly. Let's hope that things will work out in the end and they won't need a draft but if they start talking about 100,000 troops I fear what that will lead too.

I have read news articles about a possiblity that the democrates would enlist the draft to sway any future politicians from starting an war for no reason. I really think that the main reason that they might is that there is growing tension between the USA and other countries and we just don't have the troups to back us up. I say yes. I think they will use the above reason to let if fly but I strongly feel that the real reason is that we don't have enough troops for and future wars or rondevous.
I also read that in the next 5 years they are trying to increase each military branch by 300,000

As unpopular as this war in Iraq is with the American people, there will never be a reinstatement of the draft unless enemies were washing up on our shores.

Absolutely not.
1) People who are there to willing protect your way of life do so out of their own desire. When you desire something, you succeed. People drafted do not desire to be there, and would, though their own inaction, only endanger the real soldier.
2) If we were attacked, as we were on 12/7/1941 and 9/11/2001, there would be a natural rise in the numbers of people enlisted.
3) If necessary, military wages would be increased to entice more people to join.

yes. we keep sending thousands of troops to get killed people are starting to realize that if they join the forces they will be sent to war. recently there was a story in the news about a guy who died in a war being asked to come back to war. so the only thing next is to draft.

No, I do not believe that it will be reinstated as long as there are brave men and women to step up and serve. As long as we don't run out of these people the sorry citizens who are too selfish and cowardly to serve won't have to.
