Why the outer beauty? Well...I use a mirror. Your question is an oxymoron. Oh, I'm an innie.

I always think the most beautiful people (on outside) are the ones that are beautiful on the inside and also those who have inner peace. How to get that? Good question. I think a mixture of being happy with what you have in life, living a good life (as in truthful, helping others, giving etc). Also following God gives us a radiate glow. You can see it in peoples eyes whether they are tuned in to God or not. (Those not often have a dark look about them).

Thats my outlook anyway!

Oh yeah - and what about "you are what you eat". What we put into our bodies makes a big difference too. Those people on junk food etc. age quicker and look less beautiful.

It has long been said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and thought that beauty varies by race, culture or era. The evidence, however, shows that our perception of physical beauty is hard wired into our being and based entirely on how closely one's features reflect in their proportions.

1) Don't compare yourself to others!

2) Cut down (if you do) on watching music videos, reading chick magazines etc (these usually leave you feeling depressed about your body after wards).

3) Workout! Something about working out just makes ya feel better about your body after wards.

4) Sports (any sport)! Using your body rather than "watching" your body will give you a whole new appreciation for it.

5) When you do look at your body don't zero in on the parts you hate about it (usually b/c society tells us to), focus on the parts of it that rock!

Lastly, when you do look at your body, look at it for all it is... it is more than a shape, it is a texture... see the softness of it, the uniqueness of it...

Take care!

How you see yourself is most important. It is the root of everything else. It projects itself. If you know you love yourself, then other people's use of degradations and detractions to put you down won't matter. In finding beauty in ourselves, we learn to accept our weaknesses yet know how to use our strengths for the fullest.

Inner beauty is the most important...outter beauty only takes us so far and it fades...but inner beauty lasts forever and only a true friend can see that...
