Older hardware versions have this problem, the newest hardware version should not have a freezing issue. You may be able to have Microsoft replace it for you. There is also an intercooler available for the XBox360, which fits on the back and helps keep the system running cooler, although I do not believe that particular freezing issue has to do with processor temp.

The problem is that these systems are more and more like PCs. Due to the secure nature of the XBox Live internet connection, the XBox360 is very safe from the likes of hacks, external 3rd party programs, and spam... But holy smokes the Playstation 3 has got something special coming to it. I'm waiting to see the first PS3 viruses, right now not enough people are even playing PS3 for it to matter.

My kids Xbox 360 kept freezing up. And my husband would reset it. There is a button on the back. But we ended up returning it. They have a big glitch in the programming. And for the cost it just was not worth the hassle.
